Flooded In

The last few weeks we've been dealing with snow and now it's flooding. I was all set for a romantic get away to Suncadia but the passes have been closed and the valley below our hill is flooded which means we're staying put. Hum, what to do trapped at home in a newly organized craft room? Here's what...

This is a simple card I made for the ways to use it challenge. The challenge was to make use of stars. It was the first time any of these images have seen ink. Isn't it amazing when you clean and rediscover things? The star was punched and then punched again to add the eyelet. I think it makes it so much more interesting than a plain old star.
All supplies by Stampin' Up!

It's also great to be home because it's Hip Hop Thursday with Unity Stamps. I took their challenge to use dry embossing and broke out the cuttlebug embossing folders. This was my first time incorporating these into a scrapbook page. It's a little 6x6 using all scraps. I just love that new plaid panel stamp I got from Unity. The whole set is just what I needed for scrapping.
One of my favorite things is to cut out images from printed paper. I cut out an extra flower here to tie in the background paper and add a little embelishment. This shot also shows the textures on the page.
