Button Love

Here is a card I had published in the Card Creations Volume 11 which is on sale now. This publication is all about clever and unique approaches to cards. It's a call I love and yet hate too because I push myself SO hard to come up with something different. I often think myself into a design stink where I just come up with nothing. This whole issue is chock full of awesome cards and I found it so inspiring.

This card came about when I gave myself a little pep talk and said "don't over think it, just create". Sometimes that's easier said than done but this was the first card to be made after my talk and as you can see I listened. It's simple but the twist is just angling the paper and adding some trendy elements like the wooden circle and the love flair. It reminds me of a kimono for some reason.

Paper from Basic Grey PB & J line, Wooden circle from A Muse Studio, Sentiment from Stampin' Up!, flair pin from Studio Calico.
