Honeycomb Quilt

For the stitching challenge over at Let's Get Trendy I wanted to make something that resembled a quilt. I put my die to double use by making it my template and using the pieces. I first laid the negative die over the paper and used a paper piercing tool to mark my stitching points. Once I had threaded the paper I filled in the openings with the die cuts to make the "quilt". The over all look of the effect was cozy to me so I wanted to make it a Get Well card to bring someone comfort.

Supplies: Studio Calico veneer flag, Stampin' Up! rub on sentiment, Papertrey Ink hexagon die, Paper Prairie mat pack from Basic Grey, embroidery floss
