The list of retiring stamps is out which means soon the 2007 In Colors will be gone too. I've known this was coming since last July, it shouldn't be hard right? Well I'm having trouble letting go of Vintage Violet. For many it's the Cool Caribbean they are sad to let go but I have a soft spot for VV. Ever since it's been released it's gotten a bad wrap. So many people don't like it but I sure do. Maybe it's my love of the underdog. Here's a card I did for the Featured Stamper Challenge last Sunday. I just love the monochromatic look of VV and Almost Amethyst. It's so soft and pretty. I've just fallen in love with this card too. I know it's a bit vain but I just had to make more so I would actually give one away. This is a super simple layout but is the heart of my personal style - Clean, Simple, Modern, and well crafted (even matting and clean stamping). This is one of my favorite Birthday card creations.
