Glassy Glaze Tile's

I could not wait to get home to play in the Technique Lovers Challenge today. I had envisioned attempting to make some creamy subway style tiles out of the Word Windo punch and then throw a simple modern image on top. Let me tell ya, after punching, spreading pearl ex, and embossing a few of those babies...I gave up.

Then I saw the new Baroque set on my desk and new it was meant to be. I stamped, then cut and sponged each square. To make it easy on myself I numbered the back of each "tile" so I wouldn't be playing jigsaw after embossing. I also helped myself out by scoring the Bayou Blue piece into six sections. This made it easy to just center each tile in the square and viola! I have lined up tiles.

This is not my usual style but I really like the results. I'm not even sure what drew me to the set because I don't have anything like it, but I'm glad I own it now. It lends itself to design quite easy. I'm thinking some marble coasters with this set might be in order for the Holidays.

This is such a lovely card. I was looking at this technique just this week, but you have provided definite inspiration using the Baroque set. TFS!
