Overload

So I set out this evening to create a few simple Valentine Cards using only my scrap bag for paper supplies. I made one (All things grow with love card) and then thought..."let's get even more simple". I decided to do a love card Warhol style using the chipboard.

It started out inocent enough, I made the circles and layed everything out but then I was faced with the decision of what to do with the naked chipboard. Classic ink always turns out darker and I wanted to keep this soft. With no craft ink in the colors I wanted I was left with white or embossing powder. I coated in white craft ink and then got sick of waiting (after about a minute and some attempts at the heat gun) still sticky wet...I couldn't take it. On came the irredecent ice embossing powder. Then I stamped the heart on it to make it a little less white. Bottom line is this was supposed to be a simple card and I couldn't stop adding stuff to it, over kill is what it turned out to be but it still looks pretty simple. It's going to my 6 year old niece who will appreciate all that bling.

Warhol style! Howe brilliant are you!?! That's the best name for it. Makes me want to use my chip board. I LOVE your cards; they have a perfect artistic simplicity. Just beautiful! Hope you don't mind that I added you to my blogroll. :0) Mel
