So I think I'm finished with my submissions for the Artisan Award at last. Now I just have to type up everything I used and attach it to the back of the project and then pack it up and send it off. The Automated postage things at my PO has been broken each time I've gone since last Wed night so I may be going in there and overnighting this thing on Friday. I'm so glad I tried for this award. I've grown as a stamper and tried things I never would have otherwise. I'm really happy with each of my submissions. I think some are better than others but each of them are strong on their own. I can't wait until after 5/16 so I can share them! That is if I didn't win, if I actually won it would be longer until I could post them.
Here's one of the "rejects". When I made it I was in love with it and thought right away I was sending this without a doubt. Then I made another card that was similar but the colors and full exicution of that were something that was quite ambitous, so it beat this one out.
I stamped this large Hostess set From the Garden on white and then colored the leaves in with celery and highlights of Old Olive with a blender pen. I then broke out the exacto knife and rubber mat to cut out the negative space. This was then mounted on a piece stamped with the canvas bg for added texture. I really love the colors of this and the elegant feel.

Wow if this card is one of the "rejects" the others must be winners!
