This card doesn't scream laugh to me but this new laugh stamp I just mounted had to be paired with the Riot of Petals stamp. I embossed the large flowers in black thinking I'd do a Black & White card but there are so many lines in this it was just too distracting to leave it with that much contrast. I toned it down a bit with Blush Blossom on the petals and Mellow Moss on the leaves. I broke out the Sakura black glaze pen to dot the scallops on the sentiment which matches the embossing. I think it has an over all soft art deco-ish feel to it now.
I also want to mention the awesome Easter card I received from my friend Helen last week. I'm not sure if she's ok with me posting it so I'll hold back. It was a beautiful embossed basket that was cut out and stuffed with tiny hand cut eggs, grass, and even the cutest little chocolate bunny! She is one of the most detailed stampers I know and each card is seriously frame worthy. THANK YOU Helen!
I wish everyone a great weekend. I'm really excited to be meeting some of my online buddies from SCS for the first time on Saturday! I'll be sure to post pictures later this weekend.
PS - I did it and my Artisan Award submission was shipped off! Ah...it feels so good to be done

Oh, my! I just love that card...you are right...the "laugh" sentiment goes so well with the flowers! Congrats on getting your artisan submission finished too!
I think it is great! So crisp looking! I'd give a card like this to someone who had a bad day....maybe at work...and needed a bit of cheering up!
