What a productive weekend! Strawberries are here and it was now or never this year to can them on Saturday because of my schedule for the next few weeks. Tara, Cora, and Megan came with me to the Farmers Market on Saturday and we were able to snag 2 flats of strawberries just before they sold out. We ended up with 4 varieties of jam - Strawberry, Strawbery Rhubarb, Strawbery Vanilla, and Strawberry Kiwi Vanilla.
Then I headed to Pushpa's house for a swap. I was dead tired and really wanted to plop on the couch but I'm so glad I went. It ended up being just Pushpa, Maren, and I but I had a great time. Pushpa treated us to yummy mojitos and Maren let us play with her copics, way better than sitting on the couch!
Here are two cards I made today. I was inspired by the GSG Featured Swapper Becky with my color combo. The first card is riot of petals embossed in clear on guava. This was my cased card to play along in the challenge.
This one is using the old SAB set Best Blossoms. I can't tell you how many wedding invites and cards I've made for people with this set, that branch of leaves in particular! I used the same color combo as above but added in Ruby Red for the rock & roll effect on the blossom. I accented it with Fruit Punch & Yellow stickles to give it that something extra.
