Floaters

You know those things you start, then find it's not working like you thought it would but you still think it's cute and don't want to throw it away? Okay, maybe not but I have a handful of those floating around my desk, some have been there over a year. This metal edged tag is one of such floaters. I had sudden inspiration to use it in a simple layout like this.


I wanted to copy the scalloped and dotted trim onto the card base. I did this with my small corner rounder. When you use that tool for a scalloped edge it will leave a very subtle circle in the center of the scallop on one side. I used that as my guide to punch the circles with my 1/8" hole punch. I then filled them with my white gel pen so it would match.
