Build a Flower

This morning was a great morning. I was able to sleep in, snuggle with my husband and dog, then sit in my jamies mounting a new stamp set with a big mug of Dean & Deluca coffee. I can't think of much that would make that moment better. Its been a very long week. I spent more than 12 hours at work every day this week as well as working all weekend before. I have to work at 3 am tomorrow but I get to be home today, and I'm savoring it.

After mounting this set I knew I wanted to make a layered flower. I stamp the three flowers and cut them out. The center flower was punched and then made into a brad with the Build a Brad kit. It's the first time I've used it and I'm addicted to those little guys now. Its so simple, just punch out a circle, glue it on the base and slap the sticker on top!

I used a new color combo for me - Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, & Tempting Turquiose. It's a fun combo.

I'm going to see if I can clean up my craft room a bit and then make something else. I may get a little crazy and even do two posts in a day!

I love the layered flower, and the build a brad is the perfect touch. Great color combinations, too. Yep, I like it!

Thank you for the nice comment on my SCS card. I like yours just as much. I don't have the build-a-brad yet. It is perfect here. Consider yourself CASED.
