Chevron Father's Day

I had some time this weekend to stamp where I felt like I had some creative juices flowing which means I have a few days worth of creations to share. I played along in the Trigger Tuesday Man-tastic challenge over at Moxie Fab World to get things moving. I loved the simple repeated shapes on this rug. I challenged myself to make use of my semi-dusty punches and create a pattern. After lots of staring I settled on using a square punch to cut just half the punch for a triangle. Then I set to laying it just like you would with tiles.

A few tips to make this go smooth:
1) position your cardstock base on grid paper with removable adhesive. This will keep things in place and straight while you work.
2) use the grid paper as your gauge to line up that first row then the rest will follow suit.
3) A random pattern works best for this type of pattern ... I learned that the hard way :)

Thanks so much for looking and be sure to play along yourself!
